I have some IMR 4895, don't have any data for this bullet (.224 60 gr) and powder combo in my books.

IMR says 23.7 start, 25.2 compressed max. Looks about right eyeballing the 55gr and 62gr data I do have for this powder and bullet weight.

Is this is a safe way to go not having a 2nd reference for the load?

PS forgot to mention its for .223 rem

If you have data for 62gr bullets, use the starting load for that and work up. In the end, 2gr won't amount to a hill of beans.....

Good to know. Reading the Speer manual, its like my #### would fall off if I used a load with somebody else's jacketed bullet of the same weight LOL

I used 25.0 grains of Hogden Benchmark, CCI BR 4 primers in Winchester and/or Remington cases resulting in a velocity of 2980fps grouping @ 0.294" at +12C
Remington Model 7 with PacNor Heavy Varmint 26" Barrel

My bad. I know they have load data for their FTX bullets for lever action rifles and assumed they had for the rest of their line of bullets. My mistake sorry.
