I was going some Polish shooting sites (since it's my heritage), and to see how the laws are over there, etc. I stumbled upon a shooting clubs website, and they were showing what they shoot. AK-47, PM-48P, etc.

There was a pic of the standard TT (tokarev) that you see for sale here on the EE, and then right below it was this gem:

I normally dislike the TT, but that one looks pretty darn alright!

Neat looking pistol - 2 tone really breaks up the lines, it could be "Kapitalist Excess" - but I like it. Actually, you could have fun customising a Tok - checker the frame, fit a bushing put some sights on it.

It's ok.

If it was all matte chrome or all black/blued with the wood grips it would be better. Either way, gotta lose the gold. It aint no DE.

:)

It would look better if the two-tone was the other way around and without the gold parts. The traditional rationale for the two-tone finish is to save wear and tear on the frame from handling and perspiration while the blue/black slide provides a lower glare sighting plane than stainless or hard chrome.

Somebody obviously put a lot of work into that pistol; the grip is reshaped and a beavertail has been welded on.

I like it! Where can I get one?

Lever Arms can sell you 9mm mags, very similar. Not two tone though.

Poland... no idea who did the work. For all I know, the guy sent it to Germany or Russia for the work to be done...probably a domestic job though, seeing how strict they are in Europe with firearms, and I can't imagine shipping being that simple.

I would assume there are a number of Euro shops that work on them, seeing as they are more common there?

And yes..apparently we have pimps in Poland too ;) haha

That IS awfully darned nice, though!

I have a Hungarian Tok but it's staying full military.

On the other hand, there are lots of Toks around these days and that is REAL nice....

Thanks for the photos!

One really to remember.
