Rich LPS stopped by with his G36P. Got a chance to line it up against my G36K and G36C (and UMP). To see all three G36s in the same room, with a UMP too, was a cool sight indeed:

I used the "K" on my HK course , about 2500 down the pipe in 5 days. Nice rifle.
Your in good company buds enjoy the HK "koolaid" :)

Just don't sell any of them and keep adding on too the collection and store lots of ammo...lol.

I'm joining you if SHTF...lol.

Really cool.

How's it shoot at the range?

I just got home from the shoot at Base Borden, and I shot my G-36K (clone) at 200-300 yards, and I came in first place in accuracy at 300 yards. (Earned myself a 6 pack of beer for that one. :D)

Since yours is the real deal, not some 95% conversion, I would expect it to outperform mine.

Let us know. :)

Where and how do I get one?

Post on the EE. Wait many weeks. Have $8,000-12,000 standing by in case you can get one of the handful of people who actually own them in Canada to actually sell it to you.

Not sure who is leaking them onto the registry since these are not part of the retail civvy batch that got brought into the country in 2002-03

I think it would be for the best if it stayed that way. . .

Could we get a line up of the C, the K, the and the two shortest Swiss for a comparison?

whats the story with the g36? where these only allowed in for a short period or something?

The German gov. requires export permits for ANY gun they sell (like the USA) and they wont allow export permits for anything not deemed "sporting purpose". Hence why the HK416 and 417 were required to be re-designed with pin locations that couldn't match with Mil-spec AR15 lowers (or at least 416, the 417 is different anyways).

So any that have gotten into Canada have been either by movie companies selling off movie props, or Police agency's selling off guns they no longer use.... at least they USED to be allowed to do that IIRC there was a law changed or made that prohibited any police agency from selling a gun to "civilians". Either sell to another LE agency or chop her up. not 100% sure about this one though.

There could also be some coming from some OTHER countries that bought semi G36's and were imported into Canada once they were no longer wanted.
