I've had a bunch of opportunities to shoot the G36s along side my Swiss Arms. Each has its advantages. The G36C versus the SAN CQB is a good comparison.
The G36C is lighter and feels more manoeverable, but the CQB feels tight and more substantial. Both guns are essentially the same length. The trigger on the CQB is much better. Oddly, I'd say that felt recoil is less on the G36C. Accuracy seems equal too. The G36C is easier to disassemble and stays much cleaner. Changing mags is easier with the G36. They are both awesome guns. If I were forced to choose just one, it would be a tough decision.
I used to own a full-size non-restricted G36P, and I greatly preferred my full-size SAN rifle. I found the trigger just too heavy for more precise shooting. Now, having said that, I have always regretted selling the G36P.
