p226 E2 mag question

It uses the same mags. The 3 that came with mine have the plastic 1 1/2" bottom part that limits the mag to 10 rounds. I bought 2 more from Questar. These one's:

Target sports has the stainless ones. Meg-gar, same as stock but without Sig Sauer on them. Less expensive than the Sig ones.
P.S. I love this gun. 500 rounds so far. 0 issues.

I thought so too, so I called Sig Sauer to confirm and they said they use different mags. Personally, I believe you instead of their CSR call taker.
This will be my 2nd Sig, I totally agree.
That's odd; Are you sure about that? It doesn't make sense, they don't sell P226 E2 specific mags on Sigsauer.com website... I Believe the frames are the same since the new e2 grip can be retro fitted on older 226s (With the replacement of the mainspring housing and mainspring guide).
Yeah. When i use 226 mags the baseplate is extended out a mm or 2. And when i put the e2 mags into a 226 it doesnt fit because the base is too short for the mag to lock in. When i compare side by side the top 3/4 of the tube appears to be same.
Ill take some pics this weekend
I asked the CSR at Sig about that, she said it's because they're out of stock and that they have unique part numbers.
Do the 226 mags rattle at all in the E2?
Nope... everything is good if you can put up with the bottom not being flush
