EESA 2010 Charity Match Open...now with shirts!

But why are you penalizing people who did go?

He is not penalizing people who are going. How is he doing that? You are still having a match.
He is just getting tired. It happens to match directors. Next year a lot can happen and he may not be tired by then. Frustration is a terrible thing.:(
I hope it will fade by next year.

First of all, I have to say that I've been always looking forward to the matches John's crew puts in.

Now, maybe I am misunderstanding, but now we are told there won't be future matches because some people couldn't attend or choose not to attend this match. To me that is penalizing his loyal competitors.

The problem is that there is not enough loyal competitors to make it worth while for future matches. Unless this changes for next year. I guess we loose another fine match.
As shooters we have but ourselves to blame in a way. We need to chat these matches up so that more show up. Bring a friend or 5.
Also it would be nice if IPSC Ontario helped to promote these matches. (there I said it, flame away)
Where are the better shooters going and why are they not shooting this match?
Answer, shooting USPSA in the USA.
We need to create the excitement here at home. If not, get your ATF forms in order and go and have fun.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with the competitors that are attending the matches! And it has nothing to do with penalizing anyone, that is a ridiculous statement!

I am not speaking for John, but I do think people can get worn out, and weary of putting on, and organizing a large event, and there is poor attendance. It is wearing for everyone that puts time, money and effort into such things.

I imagine that we will have a meeting later on in the year to discuss what we will be doing next year as far as IPSC events go.

I know for one, that I would like to do some other different things, smaller events, Multigun stuff maybe! It is going to have to be decides on as a group. Your more than welcome to join our club and have your say!

I just did some math........

Looks like the total EESA profit for the match (if my estimations of some remaining expenses is correct)

Will be

$19.62 which makes sense as I only wanted to cover our costs and we will do that.

I will announce the total donation to CF On Sunday.

If my math is correct..........we will be very proud. as it should be for this worthwhile charity.

I can't see the details...but I'm guessing the Charity match is occupying all ranges from Tuesday to Sunday?

That would be correct as per the motion passed...........I think it was in November or so.

That said...........in the evenings lanes will exist to "shoot through" the stages for those who need to sight in a gun.

Just do not shoot our props.....

Personnally, I'd like to go but it's a 8½ hours car ride x 2 to come back and I can't have my friday off, shoot saturday and come back on sunday to work monday... so I didn't registered, price was not an issue at that point. During the summer it's easier for me to have a day off.

Then take a Monday off :D Make sure you bring more shooters from La Belle Place

Stages are very nice, weather supposed to be good and EESA is always a great host.

Even though I'm not a member would it be possible for me to come and watch the events? If so, when would be best to come watch??

Thanks,
Josh

By all means! Bring Safety glasses and Hearing protection!

Saturday or Sunday would likely be the best days.

Here is our Website and a map
