VZ 58 Brake Question

How well does the VZ 58 factory style brake work? Does it reduce recoil? Muzzle rise? How loud is it?

I'm not aware of a "factory style" brake that comes with the 58. The 58 comes with a thread protector, not a brake.

Which one do you mean? A pic would help.

It does work great and hearing protection is not really needed.
Now this style of break's works great but it was so freaken loud it would cause me to flinch every time I pulled the trigger.

But for my shorty I fell in love with this 1.

I disagree. The "modern military" brake is the loudest one I've been around. Louder and sharper than the NEA.

i looked at lots of posts and every post where someone tried a couple different brakes the nea seemed to come out on top
so i bought one and love it, probably halved my follow up shot time
plus it looks modern, besides looking badass on the front of a cz, ill take more EVIL please
the only thing is that it doesnt look very "red"

You must be half deaf! I wouldn't shoot anything (even a 22lr) without hearing protection.


Also, I would try DLASK for VZ58 muzzle breaks, flash hiders, etc......

They have a very large selection and I've heard that their A6 works very, very well. I'll have a little test and review on it this weekend for a little project that's nearing completion.....

Ur right Clobbersauras it's called selective hearing & it ussally only works when the old lady is complaining about something.
As for Dlask that is why I posted that last pic and mention about it.
When shooting like a red neck up a Stave Lake the sound is broadcasted away from you and it also makes for great pic's

I'd happily sell my NEA brake for $10 less than cost.. I dont like the "sonic boom-punch in the jaw" feeling it gives off every time the trigger is pulled.
