I currently have a stackon 8-gun cabinet for my long guns. I've just upgraded to my RPAL, and I'm anticipating adding a pistol in the near future :dancingbanana:

Right now the small top shelf is not being used. I'm looking for recommendations on some sort of pistol stand that I can secure to the shelf. I'm curious if anything is commercially available, or if I'm better off breaking out the jigsaw and making something up myself out of wood.

I'm thinking something along these lines, that would work with a trigger lock:

Thanks!

That probably wouldnt fit in your stackon 8 gun. The shelf in mine is pretty small but I can fit 2 handguns laying on their side.

I was interested in a Hyscore foam pistol stan to go in my safe but could not find it available to Canada. Midway had it on sale but they won't ship to Canada or accept forgien credit cards.

I found this link on one of the forums I read.

Have not used any. but the look good.

I am thinking of bolting a piece of 2x4 along the back of that shelf, on edge. Then drilling holes in it angled slightly down to take 3" piecs of 1/4" dowel. Stick each handgun on a piece of dowel. Might hold 6 that way.

I did the same thing ..Works very well but I hung mine from the top shelf so they hang under it to save space

This probably won't help at all but for what it is worth I bought a "25 gun" safe from the John Deere folks ( I think it may be a Sentry) and in the brochure they offered a handgun rack. I took the picture to the shop and in an hour I had a perfect six gun rack. Then I made three more. I know this is no help without a photo but check out the sentry brochures for the optional rack. It is simple as hell to make. I also have one of the Brownells wire racks which I cannot reccomend. (Must learn to attach photos to this forum :))
