Accuracy International AW , Blaser, and Sako TRG, in 338 Lapua which is known to be the best? Which one is used my most international snipers?

That is like asking which pistol is better: Glock, H&K or SIG.

You listed numerous rifle manufacturers, all of which are reputable. Different people will say different things, but at the end of the day, its what you want.

IMHO, the SAKO is more of a bench rifle than anything else. I like the ergonomics and versatility of the AI moreso than the SAKO. But that is just me. Handle a few of them and see what you like more. In terms of performance, you cant go wrong with any of them.

In terms of what is used most by international snipers, i dont know off the top of my head. I know that the AI is REALLY popular; But so are the other rifles, especially in their country of manufacture.

AW has the current world record for confrimed KIA

iv only shot the SAKO TRG and i love it. lots of countries useing all 3

best to find a rich guy at the range and beg to try one.

/\ beretta is the best pistol FYI cou:

I have a tried few trgs's was just wondering if worth trying out especially the blaser. Its newer and a lot fewer in circulation so no reviews on them like on the AI. thought a few here might have some experience with them

Ai

The best thing to do is try to handle each one either at a range, a business, etc. and see which one actually fits you best. Each rifle you mentioned would be an excellent choice, but you don't want to spend a few thousand dollars on a rifle that doesn't feel right for your physical build. Good luck with your search and enjoy whichever rifle you end up with.

Its between the TRG and AI - Blaser is last choice.

While the TRG is a nice rig...I gotta go with the AI.

I'm sure the AI action is glued into the stock but (correct me if I'm wrong) I dont think the TRG is.

Therefore... Day in and day out, I think the AI will hold POI better.

I have a TRG (TRG 22 in .308) which I really like, I have shot a Blaser but, alas, only seen pics of an AI :) I recall an article in one of the gun mags which compared the AI and TRG 42 - both in .338 Lapua - and the conclusions (from memory ) were that both shot extremly well, the SAKO had some issue with the factory scope mount ( not a flaw but perhaps an install issue I can't remember but either way no big issue ) and the conclusion of the writer was that both were excellent but if he had to take one into the field he would choose the AI as he felt it was the more robusr/durable of the two.

AI AW has the action bonded to the aluminum chassis, the AI AE MKII has the action bolted to the chassis, being more similar to the TRG so with AI rifles you have two options . The AW is considered more robust and rugged due to the action being permanently bonded, also more expensive but u get what u pay for.

Permanently bonded? Its not welded....

The term BEST is subjective and opinionated. What are you looking for in an answer?
All three are top shelf rifles and I don't believe there would be many complaints from anyone who owns any one of them.
I've shot all three and would be happy to own and shoot any of the three mentioned.
I do own and shoot a Blaser LRS .
May want to include the Desert Tactical Arms SRS in your research as well as others.

As far as which is used by "International" snipers ,that would be a matter of which countries issue what to their forces and which are issue to specific LEA.

Not permanent unless it welded the action to the stock, they used some type of thick rubber synthetic with 4 screw to attach the action to the stock, I guess this help reduce vibration.

These threads make me laugh. "Gosh Mr. Science, what's the best, fastest, studliest sports car; a Corvette, a Viper, a Lambhorgini, or a Ferrari? Which one is the favorite of the big boys? Oh tell me Mr. Science, please!". LOL. I have a Sako, have used a Blaser, have only handled an AI. For the money; (as with the cars) build your own. - dan

I like the AI the best out of your line up.
But my vote goes with Obtunded, PGW makes very nice rifles.
As a matter of fact I just ordered an all black Coyote to go with my Timberwolf.
A little #### enjoy

What is best always depends on what features you want/need. All are likely comparable in the accuracy department. Some offer more and easier stock adjustment than others. Some offer more and easier trigger adjustment. Some include tapered bases, threaded barrels, additional stock rails or mounting points. The Blaser has a very different bolt operation.

To further muddy the water (since some are offering alternatives) there is also this:

AI and TRG are great out of the box rifles. Buy one and feed it. No mods required.

Never owned a Blaser. I'm sure its great too.

By hook or by crook my next long rifle is a PGW Timberwolf.

Pic below a bit old. Both rifles are painted in same camo scheme, and I have finally scoped the TRG.

I too love TRG, AI, PGW, but until I print my own money, I just got to go the cheap way and build it myself for now.

I've got a TRG and a Blaser, have not had the pleasure of handling the AI.

I think the posters before me have pretty much called it. It's about what fits you best and everyone will have opinions.

I find the dual rails and the short bolt throw on the Blaser very precise. It took a bit to get used to, but is quite slick.
