i was wondering if tikka has ever chambered a rifle in 35 whalen

Nope. It's not all that popular in North America,let alone Europe. Plus they have the 9.3x62 which is a 35 Whelen on steroids.

thanks thats exactly what i needed to know i want something like the 35 whelen wich the 9.3 sounds like and i love my tikka in 3006 so i wanted to stay with tikka

According to the RCMP Firearms Reference table the T3 was indeed offered in 35 Whelen (ref# 120805-55).

I'd rather see one in .358 Norma - it just seems "right" in a Tikka.

Nothing wrong with the Tikka. Just ask Anthony,he has access to just about everything in 9.3x62 out of his collection. Guess which one he hunts with?
