Canadian Tire Greatness

What a bunch of ####in hypocrites!!!!

You guys will sit there and #### a mom and pop org like CT cause you can, and then probably the same peeps are renewing their certs cause of of the other thread....

Meanwhile, us taxpayers are paying the price due to higher income taxes (due to capital losses) and Calling in to re-register firearms (because of the thread encouraging calling the CFO to say that the certs were "lost" to prove a point).

Are you people ####in not thinking this through??

Omfg

The puss filled pimple heads will have to work overtime to rectify that fvck up.lol.

Exactly the kind of attitude that speaks to ones character. Those kids and folks working there are contributing members of society, not some crack head stealing from innocents. Why the delight in their suffering because someone wasn't honest?

Canadian Tire is a piece of crap store. The greater Toronto area ones only sell pellets... and you still need to show pal. They used to give 5% CT money

now they give .02%. I feel no pity for them and I'm not going to scold the dishonest guy either.

Think I'll start calling them Liberal Tire.

Because it wasn't illegal?
Too much "holier than thou" in this thread.

you make the point, you think because its not illegal one can do it, that is EXACTLY why we are getting overrun will rules and regs especially in the gun world because guys like you don't have the common sense to do whats right beit legal or illegal without have someone tell you. It wasn't illegal it was simply wrong. DOn't need the police or judge to tell you that, but then again maybe you do

All right already get off the high horse, scolding people on the internet is completely ridiculous, you are really looking like an a$$ here.

If you feel that you are paying too much, it's totally your own fault.

If they marked the prices wrong it is totally their own fault.

Personally I think its worse to get hot and bothered at strangers on the internet then to take advantage of a pricing error, but whatever,
I am entitled to my opinion and I suppose you guys can nag us if you really want.

At least you are being honest about simply taking advantage of a situation and not trying to use some half-assed rationalization (like some otheres here) to try and justify it to yourself. I respect that. I may not agree with it, but I do respect it.

Yeah dude, ammo really costs 3.00 a brick.

You ripped off the store, period. Further to that, you KNEW you were ripping them off.

This makes them less likely to stock ammo in the future, and makes you an a**hole.

Enjoy your cheap ammo, maybe next you can scam a grandmother out of her grocery money and come here and gloat about it.

Geez man, lighten up. The store made the error. They posted the wrong price on several different products and entered those prices in their system. The OP did nothing wrong. He paid the price they asked and did not rip anyone off.

You are absolutely right, should be talking about beer flavors rather than trying to help a fellow man improve his character, I don't scam anyone and I'm the ass, society is upsidedown for sure. Why can you not handle a discussion that could actually help someone out?

Someone should start a poll on this...

Do you:

1) take the lower price
2) go back and clean them out
3) tell them you think there is a mistake

I would expose the error at the cash but I'm wealthy enough to not care between $10 & $50.
It is hard for me to walk in the shoes of someone who can benifit from an error like this.

Wow...what a thread. More drama then the Y&R. At least its not as bad as saying your going to start a 20m$ registry and then spend over 1B$ on it and be far from done...lol:stirthepot2:

Canadian Tire is a "Mom and Pop shop".

Korean 5.56 is $500/1000rnds because CT's inventory system is flawed.

And, you're paying 40% income tax because of two bricks of .22 ammo.

This place is amazing.

We dont get paid to do their job. I love the "store" canadian tire but any chance I get to take advantage of the incompetent work going on at the local St Paul I do it, and it doesnt bother me one bit.
I've been to numerous other CT's with great service and great selection and am more than willing to inform them and comprimise on any mistakes that may impact my shoppping. Yes I hate my local CT and yes I continue to shop there, and for two reasons...1-I comprimise with them in the fact that they f*ck up and I take advantage of it and 2-I love the "idea" of the store.

Judged I may be......damned I will not

Are you serious? It seems like you are having a bit of trouble handling this situation. We have no right to judge or try to improve someones character, and ranting in a frenzy on here probably won't do it anyway. I am not sure weather or not I would buy it at the cheaper price, but that is my business.

For those who justify this as taking it to the man. Everyone of the Canadian Tires are owned an operated by an individual licensee. Unlike walmart Generally they are all a Mom and Pop operation.

Having worked for CT as a teen and extensively studied their business model at biz school I can assure you that there is absolutely nothing mom and pop about
Canadian Tire. They are a huge publicly traded company on the TSX (Home Depot modeled some of their early systems on CTs) with an enormous central distribution system. One of their shipping centers along Hwy 7 in Vaughan has over 400 truck bays and it is always full. Last year they had sales of $8.2 billion which was an increase of 11% over the previous year. They hold approximately $30 billion in assets and have 57 000 employees. They are big players in a lot of markets including oil and gas, white goods, housewares, automotive and hardware. They also own Autosource and Mark's Work Warehouse (120 stores). This is not your local mom and pop store.
