Hey Guys;

How do you do this? Pictorial please!

Cheers

P.S. And yes, I've googled it, I can't see the "little" c-clip they talk about & I sure as hell don't want to take off the handguards & other stuff to do this... Keep in mind that I had to do some filing & fitting to get Huntress's PINK furniture to fit her rifle... I DO NOT want to have to do that again!!!

The clip should be on the right side of the ejection port. Should be able to take off the "c" clip and push the front of the pin rearward. Then pull the pin out from the butt side.
If you still can't see the clip push the ejection cover pin towards the front of the rifle so the clip isn't resting against the receiver and hiding.

The ejection port cover pin only comes out one way. Forward. It cannot come out the back as the forward assist is in the way. The only reason the c clip is there is so the pin doesn't slide back far enough to disengage from its front slot.

You'll not only have to remove the handguards, you'll need to remove the barrel nut too. The barrel nut rear edge obstructs the pin from forward movement.

I am replacing the dust covers on a couple rifles Friday night, I can take pics of the process if you would like.
And yes the barrel nut comes off for the job

My favourite thing about the internet is people who haven't got a F**KIN CLUE doling out advice as if they were experts. :bangHead:

Thanks Guys, I'm not going to mess around with it myself, not if I have to do "more" than pull the c-clip & pull the pin...

And, UGH, I can't believe I have to take off the handguard, it was a pita to fit & put in place. Probably took me better than an hour to get Huntress's M4 PINK...

Ugh...
