Is there any 9mm pistol with a "factory" 106mm barrel and factory 10 rds mag?

It measures out bigger (?), but it sure doesn't handle like it's bigger, thicker or heavier.
Para 1911 LTC in 9mm. I know that some don't like Para's but I have a lot of rounds though mine and it works flawlessly.
Some of the sight sponsers are Para dealers and I'm sure could get you one. I paid $800.00 new for mine about two years ago. I noticed that Armco has one used for $699.00 but it's sold. The pic of it is still on the website though if you want to take a look.
The only part of the SR9 that is thicker is the portion just above the trigger guard, and it's not huge. But the slide is thinner then a Glock and the grip is considerably thinner. So much that I'm willing to bet its the narrowest grip on a double stack pistol out there.
One of the members of my club bought two, one for him and one for his son. I have not seen either malfunction in a season of ipsc shooting. I would say they probably work well, but any machine can break. I have broken a firing pin on a 1911 A1
a trigger spring on cz sp01 I see lots of problems with glocks, paras, smith and wesson and every other make. They are all simple machine and with extensive use a part here or there can break.

You can't go wrong with an STI Ranger II 9mm (4.15" ramped bull barrel). They're totally reliable, they're made in the classic 1911 style and they're very accurate out of the box. Freedom Ventures in Halifax sells them new for $1,180:

Buy a used SIG...that way you are more likely to get either the West German version, which is the peak of SIG, or at least a pre-2005 model, before they started to go seriously downhill on the QC front.
A West German P226 is still a world class combat pistol, even if the technology is getting a little dated. And you can pick one up for around $600.
The only downside is they are a little porky. But if you look at the alternatives in this thread, most are not even close to on par with a classic P226.

The STI Ranger II in 9mm or .40 S&W comes with a factory 4.15" (105 mm) barrel. The metalform mag that comes with the pistol holds 9 rounds but you can buy Wilson Combat ETM 1911 9mm mags for it, which hold 10 rounds.

Have one with the WC mags, but still prefer my M&P.
Taurus 24/7 - barrel is 4.2 " (108mm), cost around $600, very accurate, my favorite gun.
Affordable in this compact 9mm range? Here's my thoughts...
Cheap: Np-34
Mid-range: SR9, CZ p07 duty
Bling range: Sig p229, HK P7
All will work pretty much functionally great, you get different features for each one.

Small 9mm
I just tried out a CZ 75 P07 Duty that I bought on the EE. What a nice little gun! It weighs about 1.7 lbs and has a 106mm barrel and polymer frame. I expected a hefty recoil, but it is quite soft, and the groupings were pretty good for a small, light pistol. The plastic sights are OK in sunlight, but are poor for shooting from a covered firing line. The double-action trigger is a little gritty-feeling, but should smooth out with use. I think spare mags are a little scarce, but the ones for my Grand Power K100 work on the CZ.
Blue Line has them for sale. Perhaps they can source mags and some metal tritium sights.
