Hey guys,

So Im planning a long way down the road, however in the future I would really like to pick up either a PTRS or a PTRD. Impossible to find? probably, but that hasnt stopped me yet with some of my other rare finds :p I know there are a few kicking around Canada and am basically wondering what they go for nowadays? A few thou. or so seems to come to mind? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I sold my last PTRD for about $1800 almost 2 years ago. None have been at retail since a while before that. Mine was a Kovrov.

Here is is compared to a 91/30.

Bear in mind, they are virtually un-shippable. Mine had to be freighted when I sold it. Canada Post will not ship these due to size and weight. When I sold mine, I sold it with nearly 20 live rounds - I never did hear if the new owner shot them or not.
 
Wow...that'd take some bal** to shoot...:eek:

I guess that big muzzle device would help some though.

I don't think many ranges would welcome that on the firing line though.

A member on here bought one a couple of years ago...shipping was a big issue. I forget how much he said it cost him.
 
What, you mean you wouldn't want to vapourize a gopher with one of these? Expensive way to get it done, but it would sure do the job!
