Trying to decide between a two pistols

I'd say you made a good choice on the P226. I just got mine yesterday and will take it to the range tomorrow for the first time. I shot both the P226 and P229 before making up my mind, felt a bit more comfortable with the P226. Either is a great pistol. Get that RPAL and get going!
 
Update on my status:

RPAL's on the way. CFAC website says two weeks for me to get it

Deposit is paid in full.

Now I just need that ATT and I'm set.

I have tried the PX4 Storm (rental) and wasn't impressed at all; the trigger was clunky and the recoil was a lot more than it should've been. I'd take the P229 over the PX4 any day.
 
Stopped by the gun shop and got started on the ATT paper work. I can already smell the gun powder burning. I also pickup up a light/laser for it too, the STL-900L I think its called. Haven't been this excited since I got my first rifle. God I love guns.
 
There's one thing that smells just as good as that gunpowder.... its the TW25B that'll be on that sig's rails. Make sure you buy a tube. Excellent weapons grease.

Ya, your right I was taken initially by the looks of the PX4, but I at least had the smarts to ask for some advice and settled on the P226R which should be at home by next weekend.
 
I'd been shopping for a 92FS, because I know enough to just buy what I like. Fortunately, a Sig P226 jumped into my hands while I had my wallet out.

What a lucky day that was.
