My name is Ken, I'm in Winnipeg. I've been riding the coat tails of whoever would take me to the range for many years and finally decided it was time to get my own RPAL and take the risk of confiscation that may come later.

I'm in IT, but it's not who I am. Still not sure about the answer to that, and at 41 I still have time to figure that out.

Any other Winnipeg shooters here? Any tips on where to get supplies (or guns) in this backwater town? I had to go to Edmonton to find my first revolver.

Welcome!

I'm from Winnipeg also, (actually, just out side in the woods...). Winnipeg is tough to find deals on anything. If they actually have it in stock in the first place.

Are you a member of a club?

Welcome to the site.....you will find it informative and interesrting...get EE access as it is a good place to find what you need.

I don't have a set time. My work schedule is in direct conflict with Firing Line's. Thinking of going this weekend but other than that, no idea.

What about you, Moparlover?

i've mainly been shooting outdoors for the summer at fort garry gun club. almost done for the season, and next year is the last year for this club as the city is tearing it down. lots of history at this range. 41 years of PPC shooting including provincial and national events. now that its colder, i'll be at the firing line weekly for sure. what kind of schedule do you have? you can shoot weekdays from noon til 10 p.m. weekends 9 am til 10 pm

I hear we have a reciprocal access agreement between FL and Fort Garry. I should get out there for a shoot before it's too late. Is it long arms as well as hand guns?

i think it's a one way thing where if you belong to fort garry that you can go to the firing line on thursday evenings, you would still have to pay the 10 dollar insurance fee. no long guns, not even 22 rifles. only 50yds. unless you're WPS. can use carbines etc as long as they are chambered in a pistol calibre.
