– Sight in your rifles for hunting season as our guest – E.O.H.C.

As a member their would be no fee. My suggestion was that you go and help with it. Thus completing your hours of service to the club at the same time.

Think about this

Gun ownership is much like a fraternity and any safe and legal activity that supports the use and enjoyment of firearms is in my best interest- and yours.

What have you done to support the fraternity today?

Thanks, but ..............

I'm not a hunter, just a handgun target shooter. I would have enjoyed visiting you but the 2nd of October is when I'm doing my CFSC (and my CFRSC on the 3rd.)
Good luck (and Happy Hunting).

I am in Montreal and would love to head over there and partake. I'm a member of a local pistol range and the closest rifle range I use is over 45 min. away. Got the feeling you aren't that much further away.

Is there an address I can use with Google Maps? The MapQuest link on the site centered me on Montreal and didn't show where the club is. The 'Contact Us' info on the website points to a PO box that's in a commercial building. I may have missed something of course.

Web site is due for revamping + new updated content. I will try to put that on agenda for the next AGM meeting sometimes in October. Before then it is the way it is. OUTDATED unfortunately.

Thanks very much for the coordinates and I hope to make it there for the day.

A Google Places account is the best way to get the club "on the map". It's free and allows you to claim an address and then customize what appears on Google Maps when the address or name of the club is searched for.

You can also set up a "More Info" page with a description and custom photos.

we just did ours at the Danford Lake and we only had 8 hunters showing up. this was the last time that we will attemp this. it was the 3rd year that we attemp that day and with the amount of hunters that take the oppurtonity its not worth it to close the range for members to serve hunters.

atleast put the google map link in there. You can even put the html code to embed the google map. makes it so much easier to see and get to. :)

Much as I appreciate this opportunity that the club has offered and I've even provided a link for people to find the place. But there is one concern I do have which is that if something does go wrong or someone makes a stupid mistake under supervision, will the organizers accept responsibility? I for one, will not jump through hoops to be recertified or take safety lessons again. This happened at Smiths Falls when someone found a bullet in their kitchen or something and it was automatically the range's fault. So all members had to take the range safety and orientation, as prescribed by the CFO. I plain refused to take yet another class on how to operate a bolt action rifle and make sure I hit the paper. I withdrew my membership.

so much as I'd like to welcome newbies, I have to say that I have my reservations and concerns, just like others. Not saying this is a bad idea, just pointing out that I as member will be quite unhappy if there was a repeat.

I think the gesture sucks. I as a member do not want a bunch of non membered hunters who have not taking the safety course at the club shooting up a storm. It is just unsafe. I have in the past brought a hunter as a guest to sight in his hunting rig and I swore I would not do that again. Bad idea

Might be a good day for you to skip. FS
