So I've been thinking of purchasing a subcompact glock ( G27 ) that is equipped with a restricted KKM barrel. However, the thought of having an exposed ( bright silver ) barrel sticking out the end of a black framed gun approximately an inch is a little hard on the eyes, also very unprotected. Half the reason I'm wanting this is the novelty of owing a small compact handgun that looks a bit more subcompact ( besides, this is the closest ill ever get to owing a prohib )
I was curious if anyone out there would know if I could get the exterior of the barrel threaded and put on a large ( black powder coated ) cap ? Very similar to what's found on sigs / Hk's , picture here
Is it even possible to get such a large cap? Would the cost outweigh the idea completely? Perhaps I could buy an aftermarket threaded barrel in a different caliber ( 9mm ) and get a cap for that one?
I welcome any feedback regarding this, but please refrain from insults regarding this decision as I'm well aware its more aesthetic then functional.
Thanks,
