looking to buy a new moose hunting gun , going to be a browning or weatherrby in a bolt what do you guys like and why all opinions welcome even the 30/30 guys

both will work. 325 can fit into a slightly shorter, lighter gun. 200gr @ 2900 fps will do anything a guy needs to do in Canada, out to 500 yards if you can shoot. 338 has the advantage of loading a variety of premium 225-250gr slugs if you want a bit more thump

338 is great round easily reloaded with with good brass life and all the rifle a man needs
Barnes 160 tsx or 180 up to 225 good bullet assortment and velocity. I don't own one
but have in the past and will in the future . 338 is a great Caliber

Either will do anything you need it to do here in Canada.

From a reloading stand point, the .338WM will give you alot more options as far as bullet selections go.

Like I tell friends, choose which ever one will make you happy. :sniper:

Contrary to what everyone else at work thinks, I just got a .375H&H for moose. It's what I wanted.

Go to the local stores and try to find .325 ammo in various loads. Compare that with the various .338 loads the store carries.

There is something important about what you will find. The .325 does absolutely nothing the .338 can't do a bit better.

I've had a 338 and liked it. As for the 325, in rifles with this recoil level light weight is not your friend so I'd go with a 338 for a bit more power and a weight that will make recoil more manageable.
