spikes tactical upper

I see that quedtar has the spikes upper for special order.
Has anyone had experience with these? Hows the quality and the finish?
 
If there upper is anything like the quality of the lower I got you will be happy. Lots of threads on AR15 dot com about Spikes.
 
Their stuff is great (I have alot of it and no issues as far as fit/finish). I also have the billet upper/lower set and it is (frankly) FANTASTIC...by far the nicest of my AR's in terms of fit/finish...but it is pricey.
 
Isn't Aero Precision the company making the receivers for Spikes?
I just bought one of the flat top uppers and the fit was really nice.

That is not correct... according to Spike's, back when there were massive shortages in the US, there was a period when Spike's was sourcing lower receivers from 5 or 6 different companies and Aero Precision was one of those sources. That was for a brief period of time.

Spike's has not used Aero Precision lowers in over a year and a half... and Spike's has never sourced uppers from Aero at any time.

This is not to say there is anything wrong with Aero Precision lowers... only that they don't make uppers or lowers for Spike's Tactical.

Just what I had heard. And it seems 95% of what I hear can be taken with a grain of salt.
