I started off with a plane jane 870 express, 28" barrel etc. Got a 12.5 barrel from dlask, followed by adj chokes with breacher, messa side saddle, knoxx rr stock, police forend, now its off getting refinished at arma coat, i have a jumbo safety on the way, s and j mag follower. and I just ordered a police trigger assembly from brownells. and still contemplating if I should get sights for it or not.

I started with a freakn 300 dollar gun and now I am in it for well over a grand.

Well done. Sounds like you're quite happy with the outcome.

You still only have a 600$ gun :D but if it's the way you want it, it's money well spent. Many of us go down that road regularly.

Yep that sounds about right, the perfect shotgun can not be had off the shelf, has to be built.
$1000-1200 is about right.

I'm sure you'll recoup some cost by selling the original parts.

The barrel and furniture should fetch about $170 in the EE. :D Just enough for a couple of cases of shells.

I have an 870 express magnum that I also bought for $300, I plan on upgrading once I'm done playing around with my AR-15 that is currently sucking up all my money! :D
