What Year did they stop making the Gen 2 Glock (I know they came out in 1988 according to alot of information and different sources on the Net), and when was the Gen 3 Glock introduced? And does anyone know if they are going to stop making the Gen 3 and just stick with the Gen 4 from here on out?
I have looked and looked on the Net for a clear answer on this question, and it's only guesses I get for information. I thought I would turn here and see if anyone can answer my question. Thanks Shooters

I'm going to guess around 1990-1991?

Fear not, though - Gen 5 will be out shortly, trying to incorporate all the innovations of other brands, as Glock clamors to keep screaming "We're the original".

Gen 5, will feature all steel construction, a slide locking safety at the top left of the frame, a grip safety in the back of the frame, a barrel bushing for improved accuracy, and 7 round single stack magazines in 45acp. Also it will now be single action, with a skeletonized hammer.

Perfection, finally!
