I dont know were to start...

waited 13 months for this gun and im dissapointed.

So emailing back and forth with Surefire ( wow there CS is fast ) they say its my rail that isnt machined proprely. and thats why I cant zero in my X400

would this be possible... I know Para QC sucks... ask the people that ordered the .40... But to have a rail not machined to specs that is bull...

These are the CF special run pistols from last summerish? Just curious as I almost joined in the fun.

I second trying the light on a different pistol if you can.

Could be the x400. My buddy and I both purchased one and we returned them both due to poor quality. The laser wasn't crisp and it didn't hold zero. My buddy noticed his laser was a blurry dot on the wall. Mine stopped adjusting. My x300 is of much better quality. Para can be difficult to deal with in my experience. Maybe this has nothing to do with your issue.

Am I to understand that the only evidence of the rail being defective is the internet diagnosis of a Surefire rep, and the only other possibility is that there is a problem with their product?

You might want to solicit a second, unbiased diagnosis.

I have issues with para parts being out of spec as well.
Mine was a slide stop issue..... after 6 months I finally got the new part..... holding them (The slide stop release) side by side.... and i could see a massive difference in the parts..... and the new part was even further out of spec..... now my pistol has no hope of locking back on last..... (but it jams less with the new part)

Either way, I am not surprized to here this story about there QC and Machining abilities.

I sent surefire the pictures they sent me a RMA #

Props on Surefire for a fast turn around time. I hope the next one is a better fit...

I will borrow a caliper from work thanks krausb for the specs...

misfire; The laser stop adjusting it would go left no problem but I need it to adjust right and with the setscrew all the way out it still wouln't be centered.

Sounds like an X400 issue to me. Surefire will make it right for you (I've had good experiences with their CS). Hope it all works out for you!!

I was told by tetragon that this issues that they're still going through with the LEAF TF 1-08 Para's was because the slide's where out of spec an a new batch had to be made.

Well update on PARA...

There isnt any... They dont return emails or phone calls...

But my new X400 is on the way...

On a sidenote... the PARA rails are out of specs on more then 1 gun.The mags suck so much they blow out from the bottom when loading, !!! I knew I wasnt the only one... FFS... this custom gun is a cutom peice of sh!t

F-U Para... I should of listen to the PARA bashers... There were right all along...

One of my friends on base is a machinist, he will try to rework the rail ( if possible ) and see if he can make the X400 sit better on the rail.

Oh yes the finish is wearing off on the slide allready... I didnt holster it yet...

I'm not a Para fan having owned and sold a SSP and didn't get anything from their 'customer service' but a bunch of Wedgies. Your experience is Paranormal. I held my tongue in my earlier posts because I didn't want to influence your opinion of them or your firearm....I didn't feel any sense of loss when they moved south.
