When you see a "riot shotgun" or complete tactical outfitted rifle/gun, do you
automatically think "Man that big a$$ black gun is COOL!!!"
OR do you think "Geez, I wish the Mall Ninja's would just cool it for a minute!!"

Curious as to what the CGN'rs think. Seeing as how the tactical guns will probably never be allowed to be actually used or carried in public here in Canada for the forseeable future, is it a waste of money/time, desperate attempt to look like an action star?? COOL or uncool?!!!

If the person can handle it properly & safely. And can actually produce decent targets for said firearm, after that it matters little to me what it looks like.

Why judge someone for what they like to shoot? If they like guns and shoot/handle them in a safe manner who cares what they shoot? Mall Ninja, fudd, whatever, we all need each other to be able to continue shooting anything in this country.

Are you talking about me? I couldn't care less if someone wants to get dressed up in camo and play warrior on the weekends. I don't own a black rifle or shotgun of any description and the only camo I own is in real tree pattern for hunting. Being a mall ninja and claiming superiority because of it is just as stupid as being a fudd and thinking that makes you better.

Marginalizing any group of shooters simply makes the anti's happier and my goal is to piss them off as much as possible. My world includes room for all shooters, regardless of their chosen firearms or pastimes.

:eek: You may run a foul using that term! TactiCRAP may be more preferable on a public board. I can understand it's not everyone's thing. Personally I don't go for it, I even harrass my shooting buddies that do. :D But hey if it makes someone happy and they choose to spend their money on it... go for it. :cool:
 
I like some stuff - too much is overkill, say scope, red dot, strobe light etc all on an ar at once.

but I do like black guns a lot, i have one marlin in my collection that was inherited and it's really the odd gun out, it's the only gun I would consider selling but I won't because of sentimental value

I like ALL aspects of guns and rifles....And hunting for that matter.

To dismiss something because you don't like how it looks?
Life is too short to dismiss all that fun.

Until you try it how can you know it isn't for you?
 
I dont want to get overboard with this thread. Its just a harmless (hopefully) poke at the guys I have been noticing more and more of lately. It just seems "viral" , the amount of money guys spend on (IMHO) tactical stuff that is pretty useless for anything in the real life. Just pretend scenarios at a range. I don't care either what people spend their money on. My friends and associates almost all generally sneer and laugh at the lengths some guys go to, in order to gain some kind of "credibility" that they may have "MAD SKILLZ" with guns and tactics. When in reality, it is usually a bunch of guys that the Mall security would laugh at and mace.
Not trying to offend anyone.

Tactical gear doesn't turn my crank
Tactical gear can turn 3 cogs of my crank
 
You forgot the "I don't give a rats ass what someone else uses, as long as they know how to use it" choice.

What do you mean that you can't use them in public? There are many "tactical" style rifles and shotguns that are non restricted and therefore can be used for hunting. Teh AR's are restricted but there are lots of "black guns" that are not.

Lets examine every aspect of your life and judge you on how you spend your money. You into cars? trucks? Electronics? Bog Screen TV? Sports? other than the basic necessities of life, What do you spend your money on? I'd like to judge whether I find your discretionary purchases worthwhile or useless.

So you are saying that Night vision goggles, lasers, body armour, etc etc is a completely usefull expenditure of money? Just asking. Sure see lots of guys walking around with that stuff hanging on them downtown.
