Hello folks,
I need some help here. I have a raccoon problem. I need to know how to go about getting rid of the critters. Is there anything I can use to bait them? Is there a call I can use to bring them in, either in the day or night so I can get a shot at them? Anything info at all, that can help me with this problem, would be great.

Go to a butcher, get some meat scraps (usually free or cheap). Wait a couple days, then sit over the bait pile. Be prepared to see coyotes, foxes, fishers, racoons, and crows. Check your local regs first.

I used canned tuna...however I caught 2 cats and a possum before I got the raccoon raiding my attic....

1.use a live trap.
2.place a tin of dollar store Sardines in back of trap.
3.catch a cat, release. (until they realise its not fun)
4.catch the coon. release it on your "not good friend" property.;) or do as you please. (its a fur bearer, so need to retain pelt).

Put out some dog food with a motion light. Sit close by with a 12 gauge ready to go and you'll have him pretty quickly. Or just go for a walk around sun down and keep your eyes in the trees. Anything that looks slightly out of place, usually is.

Bait with a boiled egg, better yet would be a pickled egg, the vinegar helps keep the cats away.
Stay away from strong scented baits! A tin of tuna will bring in animals for miles, and like every other mammal they will want to live close to the food supply.
Live traps can be had at most tool rental stores.

Take sardines or some canned cat food. Mix with antifreeze. Put the mixture out where they can smell it or walk by it. It works like dream and also works great on problem skunks as well.

the coons near me love canned cat food but the skunks do as well i have a neighbor that has issues with them going into the garbage all the time for the tins... now only if they let me sit with the bow on the their lawn and plink lol

Bag of garbage and a .22 (depending where you live of course).

I live in town so it makes it a bit more difficult to 'relocate' the flee-ridden vile vermin. I'm dealing with a family that seem to enjoy tearing chunks of my house trying to get in the crawlspace, that is when they're not infesting my house with flees or dumping all over the lawn.

So, tagged for interest.
