Fake LaRue ***Update***

CCM: It wasn't that Fab was selling fakes.. Fab runs or did a 3rd party service which allowed other people to sell things thru his site... Sorta like an EE..

It was one of these 3rd parties that sold the fake stuff..

However his saying he would follow up /contact the RCMP and then... Well that's not really so cool.. I'll wait for Fab's response if any but the whole thing ain't kosher...

Are you serious? Your comment almost makes it sound like your "okay" with the rail being a FAKE...

I most certainly WOULD NOT accept a FAKE rail, & then swallow my pride/accept "the loss" & sheepishly install the rail to see how it does... Good grief, IT'S A FAKE!!! Someone made money by intentionally substituting a FAKE rail for the real thing!!! This IS NOT acceptable!:slap:

Carbineone, if mine turns out to be fake I will sell it to you for a little less than I paid since you really don't care. Shakes my head. Wrong thing to say to people who are out 400 plus....

Sorta like an EE and like an EE are two different things. The Fabsports website does not allow just anyone to make an ad up and post it. Fabsports had control of what the ad content was and by extension, condoned the advertising of these products without even checking to see if they were legit!
 
Fabrice should step in and make things right. I wouldn't be willing to lose my reputation for 350$, even if it was a 3rd party arrangement. I'll take a stand and support the OP and none of my money will go to Fabsport untill this thing is settled.

+1 on Fabarms making it right. Their website is under their control and their responsibility. They made a mistake, "angryeyebrows" shouldn't have to pay for it.

Seriously take the bolt out of your AR and replace all the metal parts with plastic... See how it does... have your next of kin let us know...

Installing airsoft stuff is a good way to get yourself hurt... You want to do it go ahead...

I occurs to me Angry Eyebrows... Did the instructions happen to say it was for airsoft? anything on the box say that?

I agree that part is bad because I would assume Fab receives fees from others posting their content on its site. So saying, "Oh, I just take the money but have no responsibility" is pure BS. But in my opinion the RCMP "report" part is really, really bad!

I suggested to Fabrice that Fabsports refund the three of us who were ripped off. After all it was advertising on his website that led us into this mess and he claimed he knew the seller and had dealt with him before.

Fabrice basically told me that I knew I was dealing with a third party and I'm mistaken if I think that Fabsports would be refunding any money. The email was rather forward and insulting.

Personally I think it was a stupid move and rather shady and I hope he looses more than $350 worth of business because of it.

First sign of trouble and that ad was GONE! Disclaimer went up and too bad so sad, you got screwed!

Frankly it's past that point. Fabrice thinks he has nothing to loose and has made it clear that he is NOT responsible for anything. All I've done is present the facts so others could see what has happened. I've kept ALL my emails to back up any statements I have made. It's not about the money, it's the principle of the issue.
 
I hope Fabsport's next move (if there's a next move) will be chosen wizely. Currently we have a lose/lose scenario; the OP's getting screwed and Fabsport's (who is a site sponsor) rep is going down the drain. If we stick together (on CGN) I'm sure we can help this settlement take place.
