I am just wondering what brand and weight of bullet you Stevens 200 owners find shoots well out of your 300 win mags? I read a lot about the smaller calibers using the search function but specifically wonder about the 300 win mag? I guess given how many of us modify these rifles I should state that I am interested in info with the Stevens 300 win mag using factory barrels.

I can't offer any useful info on this, but I noticed you are also selling one on the EE...
I really like the paint job you did on that stock, how did you manage to do it? Or did you have it done professionally? Sorry for side-tracking the thread :)

74-76 grains of RL-22 and a 180gr Partition or Accubond will shoot in any 300Win...Even a Stevens! :p

If it doesn't something is wrong.

RL-17 and 180gr Winchester PP's easily shoot under 1" out of my rifle (actually closer to .5"), and velocity is very good for a 24" bbl. Recoil is quite snappy, but it's a great carrying rifle.

Yeah, I am forced to sell that project before getting to work up a load for it thus the thread to at least hear what worked for others. I need closure I guess:D As for the paint job thanks for thinking it is professional. I did it with krylon camo and graph paper. I will try and dig up some pictures of the process if I have any.
