Hi folks,
I've just received a NIB savage 116 in 270WIN. The trigger seems a bit too light for my taste. Even though it surprises me (may make me shoot better) I'm used to shotgun triggers and wouldn't mind dialing up the trigger-pull just a tad.
Anyway, to come to the point, the adjustment requires I remove the stock. Once I'm done, I want to make sure I put it back on properly and tighten the action screws to the correct "tightness". To that end, I'm gonna go pick up a torque adapter from canadian tire and some hex bits.
I read somewhere that I need 50 in-lbs? is this correct? any expert advice? Better yet, can someone near Ottawa help out with this?
Cheers and thanks
