M-14 Brass Catcher

I made one
I made a brass catcher. Originally, it was for my min-14, and works like a charm. I used Hungry's do it on the cheap method, and it cost me about a hour's worth of time and less than $20.00.

trouble is, with that thing , it NEGATES putting a scope or mount on- and it's also CLOSED BOTTOM- i have 4 of those, and had to resort to other methods of holding the box on- you're BETTER OFF with a tarp where you see your brass landing- that's the way the army does it
I had an OD Green towel I draped over the scope...............brass would hit the towel and drop straight down........wasn't as clumsy or ugly looking as those plastic brass catchers, and it was easy to use in the field............... camo it up and you have a nice "Ghillie" cover...............
How's this?
I made one of those years ago.................I found it too much of a PITA to set up and carry around...............but nice job on it!!!

Remember I wrote next time I go to the range I would take pics? I forgot to mention that I built it to catch Mini-14 brass. Got yelled at a couple of times as guys two seats over at range got a few on the cheek and head. I wasn't too popular! That damn rifle can sure throw brass. The M14 is a treat.
I go to range and shoot mini rarely now, as it is good to go and I use it in the field now.

Just take a brass picker upper, (that would be called a kid)
Those cost several hundred thousand dollars and take 9 months to build.
