I've come to the conclusion that with age and crappy eyes to begin with I need to put put a scope on my 858.
Pretty much decided on the CZ 858 side rail and a posp scope from inter ammo.
He does not appear to sell a case deflector tho so I am wondering who has installed one with this particular set up and where I can get one.
The rail is supposed to accommodate a case deflector but does not really state which type/model.
Any info appreciated.....

I have that rail too but i think that for now, i will have to make one using sheet metal or something. I think Interammo will have 1 eventually but i dont know when.

Best $7 you'll ever spend if you like people shooting next 2 you @ the range

Bringing back my older thread......
Finally got around to getting a pops scope onto the CZ.
Was going to order the shell deflector from Marstar but it is now sold out.
Any others available?

I decided to make 1 with a piece of 14g steel. May look heavy but its built to last! I'm not a fan of deflector fixed on the rear sight anyway.

I had changed the angle a bit because sometime, case bounced back into the action, was not frequent but i make it better.

You appear to have the AK mount. It has a lot more clearance between the receiver and scope, the SVD is a lot tighter,at least it looks to me.
Don't think I have the room for your type deflector.
I added some foam around the scope and you can clearly see where the ejected shells have been hitting, right below the side clicker,a few appear to have even hit the threaded fitting where the bulb sits.....which is probably why the illuminated reticle does not work.

My deflector would work if the deflector was trimmed a bit. The SVD mount should be only 1/2 shorter than the AK mount(i think the difference between the 2 is covered in the stickies) What model of scope you have exactly?

Nice deflector SVT1940! we are trying to get one similar to yours into production, so far could not find local shop who would be interested...looks like will have to go with overseas...

and you are right SVD style scope shorter than AK by 1/2"

I,m thinking about lenghtening mine a little bit at the rear to protect the small illumination bulb even if no empty case had hit it so far. If you can get your into production, i would buy it. Your rail work so good, we need a proper fit deflector, sturdy, blued of parkerized:) Until then, mine do the job.
