Just completed camouflaging the synthetic stock on my M14

Great looking gun. What kind of scope is that?

Also, what brand of flat clear coat did you use?

It's a BEC 6-24x44 Lighted Mil Dot Reticle Scope
and the paint was Krylon Matte finish.

im looking to do that down the road....got the link to the how to or the youtube vid?

I don't. I've done a couple of other stocks over the years.
Pick your base color (black in my case) cut out stencil shapes, paint the whole gun. Let dry, put on new stencil shapes partly overlap the last ones (leave the stencils for each layer on until you're completely finished painting). Paint with new (lighter) color (green) and repeat.... brown....tan etc. Usually 4-5 colors, and go from darkest to lightest.
Make sure you use the BLUE scotch edging tape - not regular masking tape. (It bleeds, and sticks too hard)
- Pull all the tape, and add a few layers of clear coat. That's it!
