New to me Lanber

Well, it came in the mail yesterday from TradeEx.

Lanber 12g 2 3/4" - single trigger, full over modified.

Not bad shape, but not mint forsure. Few dings in stock, and few scratches on barrels, but bores are nice, and action is nice.

I've cleaned it up after taking these pics - but give you ruff idea of looks.

In the picture of the safety there is also a barrel selector. Right is one dot, and left is two dots. I think iv figured out that left the top barrel fires first and right the bottom. aka. barrel #1 is bottom and #2 is top. Make sense to you vets?

The serial # is 125507 - anyone know how old she is, or what model? Did they even have models?

Only things on barrels are Lanber-Bargun & Made in Spain.

Yes, that is what the dot system on the safety means. One dot for bottom/top, two for top/bottom.

From the pictures it looks like the top lever is over to the right which is a good sign.

Somewhere on your barrels or action there should be a two symbol code (letter and a number) which indicates the date of proof. You can what the numbers mean on this site:

Lever is more to the right yes, and unlock is even further to the right.

When the gun is closed if the lever is to the right it means the locking lugs have not worn excessively.

What are some good butt pads and where to get them? This just has hard plastic.

If you're gonna hunt with it, I just stay with the hard pad. Other wise, I like decelerator.

I have the same gun less selective fire....LOVE IT !!! . It shoots as well or better that way $+ shotguns. You will enjoy it.

Strange tho I have a 3"mag but no selectable fire??

I would not hesitate to buy another

Have the same one, but not as pretty as yours. model 844 st, I found in a book. 6 different models, 1st 4 basically the same....a)2 3/4" b)3" with extractors..c) d) ejectors.... import discontinued in '86

Anywhere online/sponsors to get a good recoil pad. Do you really need them custom fitted? (sorry its my first shotgun)

Any I wont be hunting (yet) ill be shooting clays

Most gun store carries some sort of pad.

Most pads needs to be shaped to the stock and the stock may have to be cut as a new pad may make it longer. There are also variouis slip-on pads available but these will definitely increase the length of pull.
