Excellent Idea, Rob - It worked in the Philippines in 99 and South Africa in 02, but after trying two different providers, Ecuador flopped miserably. (remembering it was post 9/11)
I have it on my to-do list for this time. A European destination might be more plausible than the last two WS locales.
a question to those who are going, how much extra would you pay for a direct flight where your guns would be in your carry on and all your ammo onboard? Currently have quote requests into a few executive air services about a jet. It won't be cheap but the extra cost may out way the headaches of commercial flight.

If you can get it below 10k direct from Canada, you might get enough people. But, then some of us have to factor in flying in to catch it as well. As I would imagine you'll want to leave from Ontario. There are, I think 8 of us on the west coast who will likely go. A return flight to Ontario is going to be anywhere from $500-$800 unless guys use points etc. As well what about people that want to go over early or come back later? Lot of logistics dude.
I can book a first class return ticket to Athens for $6500 right now. So its still hard to justify even $9000 just to be able to take extra ammo. But keep me in the loop, if costs and time lines work out it could be good.
