Anschutz 54's at Tradex

Picked up my Unique T-66 target thursday and the package felt too Heavy! opened it up and there were 2 target guns, only ordered the Unique!! But the other was good workmanship and neat so I kept it as it was only $300. The unique shot an 1 hole group at 20 metres with CCI St Vel ammo, just great! Trigger is real interesting. The condition was not bad at all, the wood was a little worn and a few dings but solid, metal was about 85% with no sign of abuse. The bore was amazing!! bright with tons of rifling and the crown was in great shape! Being a cabinet maker I will have to give the gun an English style finish so it looks similiar to my Sako Range.Super 7 thanks! for the heads up, Dale Z in T-Bay

Here's a few pics of the Anschutz 54 Match from Tradex. Yes I do need a new scope and rings :) :
There still some sticker residue on the buttstock on this shot:

Looks like its a 1974 model:

Got up to the range today to try it out at 50yrds. I had a bunch of different sk ammo with me as well as some lapua . It didn't seem to like the lapua standard club as well. It seemed to like Lapua Master M, SK center x, sk polar biathalon and sk pistol match the best.....sk pistol match shot pretty well in it and its relatively cheap too so I'll be picking up some more of it. It was about a 30km wind today and I'm out of practice so I'd say there is room for improvement here:

Anyway I'm pleased with the overall condition and it seems to shoot pretty well and the price was certainly right so I'm happy. Thanks Tradex!

Rimfire is my first love. How else can you shoot hundreds of rounds through your target rifle in a day without; burning out your barrel, developing a flinch, or bankrupting yourself.:D

I'm down for some indoor rimfire shooting this winter!:)

Where do you go, GMK Armoury?

No worries about the rifle. I misread your post and thought you had two Anschutz Model 54's. Oh well, I have three CZ 452's to keep me busy.:)

Chances are we've already met. I seem to wander into your store whenever I let my guard down and I usually end up spending some money.:D
