Hey gun nuts; Dumb questions 101. I just received my new/old sks {chinese} and have some questions I hope you can help!?
Dumb question #1: the rear sight is graduated, I don't think its yards or meters as it goes from D by 1's to 10. Can any one enlighten me as to what the D stands for{ I'm really going to feel dumb if it means down
} and how the elevation sight works?
Dumb question #2:Why isn't there any chinese characters{lettering} on the gun after the weird triangle?
Dumb question #3: Why isn't the caliber {7.62} and other info stamped on the barrel?
Dumb question #4: What is the hard wood that they made the stock out of and is it recommended to sand off the crap varnish and refinish or leave well enough alone?
