Gunner basically works alone. There is one or two others who do blueing and woodwork, and other things when needed. He not only has the gun work to do, but also all the paperwork for guns going in and out, prepping new guns that come in, packing and mailing those going out and on and on...

One man show out of his workshop.

I would not be surprised if Gunnar stopped doing work and only did sales or something.

Still the friendliest person I have met in the business, In Prince George E&I sports is full of idiots and northern trout fitters has a couple of miserable sods that wont look at you twice.

Maybe it is just me, but perhaps being able to see him whenever is convenient for me makes things different.

Well, 7 pages and the thread has remained reasonably polite. I won't levy any further comment towards ARMCO or Gunnar. I will comment on something that has been said prior in relation to many one man shows. Most local gun shops and smiths do not offer anything that cannot be had elsewhere, Springfield Armory is the only place to get a Professional Model, Matt Delfatti is the only place to get a Delfatti ISP-3, you want then you wait. If you want to be a one man show...advertise on the internet to presumably drum up business then please take care of business. Otherwise just put an posting on your site that you are too busy and will only deal with people you know personally and may or may not answer business related inquiries...

Well it does mention a few things on the front page of his website.
http://www.armco-guns.com/

"We have had to turn down a lot of gun repairs lately, due to the sheer volume of sales. There are only so many hours in the day :) We have our apprentice taking some load off, though, so I am now able to take on a bit more tuning, trigger jobs, sight work..."

if hes a one man show he should notify customers of the wait before hand or refuse work because he's bitten off more than he can chew

it's one thing to say that, but another to actually do it - why are people still having this issue with delays? the current backlog should be cleared before moving forward - still doesn't work in his favour

This gun just came back from an Armco tune (receipt will be supplied), comes with original grips as well as mother of pearl ones ($60), and also 3 mags instead of one $80 value. Gun has exactly 180 rounds through it, likes Wolf lead. Was bought new by me from Badger Arms in June. I've tried to like it but I am keeping my Taurus 1911 instead.

Hmmmm.......looks to me like maybe someone's gun showed up after all.

Still waiting for the OP to clarify. He was quite willing to slam Gunnar but suddenly he has disappeared

John

Well, he was last on CGN as of 6:31 pm today....

And I have the same question regarding that post, too.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I feel unbelieveably lucky to have such a fantastic resource 15 minutes away.

If thats the case people like the OP infuruate me to no end, it drives me insane that you would go out of your way to slam a hard working indavidual. And when you where wrong and looked like a butt clown, you scatter off like a cocroach...bad form op, bad form:slap:

In my only dealing with Gunner I was negotiating a price to get two of his guns. It did not work out, but he was always courteous and got back to me within 24 hours. That is not to say others experiences are not legit, just stating my experience.

I've purchased 2 HG's from Gunnar. Both transactions were problem free.
He's a gentleman to deal with. I have sent business his way and will continue to do so without hesitation.:)

So, it looks like the OP got his pistol back after all.

There has also been enough discussion in this thread to have answered his original question.
