Browning double auto - floating a shell?

Lol!

I love the engineering of this gun (Val Browning). Note that there are no visible screws or protruding pins on the receiver. That takes some very clever work to do that.

Sigh! Not mine:(

I am looking for one , or an IC barrel for one. My friend has one with a FC barrel he will sell me at a reasonable price, but I want to shoot steel (albeit smaller steel shot ) with it, so nothing choked more than IC would be appropiate. Anyone know where you can get a barrel??

So you've used steel shot in it?

I know Browning advises against it, same as their Belgium Auto-5s.

Nothing in my post says anything about steel shot.

I use lead where legal, bismuth and Kent tungsten. I don't shoot steel through anything...not my newer Citori or Wingmaster and not through my older guns.

;) I know what Double auto means. Again - I was curious.

Looks like it'd be a fun gun to shoot, but since I don't do skeet, all that would leave is crow hunting - kind of a waste to drag a nice semi-auto through that.

I've shot a bazillion crows with my DA. They are great for high volume shoots as recoil is mild with 3 dram trap loads. Nice dry upland shooting.

My DA has shot a lot of sporting clays as well:)

It is fun! The DA used to be a fine upland gun? Nothing has changed in that respect?

Sorry, didn't mean to imply you were doing something stupid. I was just curious.

No offense taken. Was just trying to be clear.

As a few other posters have said, it's a nice gun. And I don't feel limited by just having the two shots. I rarely cycle the third shell through in my pump guns and mostly I use double barrel guns so am used to a two shot gun.
