What a gong show down south.

I contacted Kel-Tec directly about something related to the RFB a few days ago.
They told me that they have sent it in for approval about 7 times now.
When it does finally arrive here, I hope they sell a ton of them. They (Kel-tec) certainly have gone far beyond what most other companies would have done.
Good on them for sticking with us.

Larue, anyone? :D

They are all non-restricted according to Vault in another thread so please stop asking.

The only thing you should worry about is the price. The RFB is a $2500 gun (yep) now the sub2000 nobody knows.

Whatcha mean ugly? I think they look great...now what would turn me off is if the polymer/plastic parts feel like cheap GM plastic (like from their cars)...or if it felt really unbalanced...

What a glorious example of bureaocracy in action.

"Oh noes! We're misapplying legislation meant to stop tinpot african dictators from slaughtering their populations by banning the export of $2000 a piece guns to Canada! We're still handing our aid supplies to the dictators because they pinky swore they would give the food to all of their residents, including the ones they don't really like, but we're making sure they don't spend their whole budget on stuff they won't buy anyways!"

Glad the CFC has ok'd them to be non-res too! That RFB is going to be my bush gun for sure - light (ish), 308 cal, and doesn't toss shells all over gods half acre.Methinks scope and irons are in order :)

Also really glad Kel-Tec is interested in the Canadian Market. From what little I understand of them they're VERY consumer oriented and will meet any request with maximum effort (as shown with them jumping through umpteen million hoops to get the RFB into Canada).

Final summation - Hooah KelTec! You have my business even though I'm a stingy b@stard. :D

the .308 looks awesome but if its $2500 I'll have to pass..

I wonder how the sub2000 is non restricted if it folds in half, I bet that feature must be disabled.

The AR-7, Marlin Papoose, Browning .22 and a whole host of other firearms aren't capable of being fired in the "reduced-size" position :) - just like the SUB2000 ;) - and that's probably why there's no concerns about its non-restricted status....:yingyang:
