Classic CGN...the guy shoots some deer and and few of our elites pull out their law degrees or slam the guy for shooting an animal that is to small in their own world. Get a life !!

Couldn't care about the size, those are good eating animals!

But the way he's doing it is subject to controversy. With this form of hunting, I could get everyone in my office to sign a tag and have at 'er but that's why the law is what it is, to prevent this from happening.

My family is big..

My dad has a hunting tag, I have a hunting tag, and my brother has a hunting tag, + we have the Second deer tag each. + Next week I am going out with my grandma and she will have two tags. And whoever else I can get to buy a tag.

(this was all in muzzleloader. )

+ next month I will have a Rifle tag and so will my dad and grandma.

And I have the best shot so 90% of the deer that get shot are from me. We all hunt as hunting partners with the hunting licenses signed on the back.

WOW, That can't be legal. Certainly on ethical grounds, you are on thin ice. Are you saying that nobody you hunt with is interested in hunting in any way, and they want you to do all the shooting and take all the deer for yourself? Or are you just ready to blast anything in range and never give them a chance?

Isn't hunting about a little more than harvesting as many animals as you can? I am sure the COs in your area would take a very dim view of your antics.

Sorry to be calling you on this, I just fundamentally disagree with what you are doing.

What area are you hunting in? I've heard some areas have less than usual this year.(could be due to different crops).
Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to have time for muzzleloader this year, but tips for high-power would be good!
Nice deer BTW. Congrats.:)

Charleswood is overloaded with deer this year. Some does with 3 fawns. I've never seen so many, and all young. Haven't made it out hunting yet. Hope there's one left for me when I get out.

If you guys know this is illegal..man up and call the authorities? If you don't you are no better then him by condoning it and letting him get away with it. As the old saying goes "put your money where your mouth is".

The law in Manitoba used to be a party of 5. So legally if he signed on with four other people plus his own tag he could shoot 5 deer. If all of them purchased the second tag then he could legally shoot 10 deer. The person who actually tags the deer has to be with the one that shoots the deer or at least has to be in pursuit of the same deer. So unless the law has changed since I hunted there then he is 100% legal. Ethically I'm not sure.

Party Hunting
Hunters may hunt big game in a party of two persons, as long as
they possess the same kind and type of licence (e.g., elk hunters
cannot form a party with moose hunters; a hunter with a Second
Deer Licence can only form a party with other hunters that have
a valid Second Deer Licence). However, deer hunters may hunt in
a party of up to four
persons. Each member of the party must
have a valid hunting licence for the same game species, GHA,
season and residency except that resident and non-resident
deer hunters may form parties. A foreign resident can only
form a party with another foreign resident. When one hunter
bags an animal and uses their game tag, all party members
may continue to hunt as a party until all tags have been used,
provided that each party member has signed and indicated
their hunting licence number in ink on the back of the hunting
licence of the other party member(s). Hunters must remain in a
position to be readily identified as party hunters searching for the
same species. The hunter with the unused tag must be present.
A licensee may form only one party for any game species during
any one season.

This is not helping you any.

My dad ... brother.... grandma and I. And whoever else I can get to buy a tag.

There are limits for a reason.

the hunter with the unused tag are present.

Not doubting that and I wish we could do that here.

But you have said that you already have a party of four, which is legal, but then you say you are getting anyone else that can buy a tag to do so, this is not since you would be forming a second party contrary to the hunting regulations.

thats a good point, ill have to hold off for 2weeks or whatever it is till Rifle starts. then ill look for the big deer.

"Hunters must remain in a position to be readily identified as party hunters searching for the same species."

That says to me that the member of the party having an unused tag, must continue to hunt. They can't be somewhere else or sitting in their house or cabin. They had better have guns, ammo and PAL's if someone questions it, otherwise how coudl they be hunting?
