As the title stated I've taken the plunge and ordered one of NEA's new designed stock adapters for my OD green XCR-L but now I need recommendations on which butt stock I should get.

I really like the look of the Magpul UBR but I have never held/seen one and actually have never really looked at the different AR stocks that are available so need help/suggestions.

What is important is that it is available in OD green to match my cerakote finished OD green XCR-L and has to have an adjustable length of pull.

Thanks for any thoughts/ideas :)

I'll post some pictures for you later tonight.

UBR is a very solid stock, it comes with a tube and all the parts, you can installed it in less than 2 minutes without a castle nut wrench.

Thanks for the pics guys I totally appreciate them.

I am seeing something that I feel is very important that concerns me about the CTR when compared to the UBR.

When the stock is extended the cheek piece moves backwards possibly changing the cheek weld where the UBR's doesn't change.

and here I was thinking that I would save some money by getting the less expensive CTR...

I have to think about this now...

the usual suspects, target, TSE, Neit.................
Its not being called a gen two though.
Believe it or not there are guys asking that we keep the ugly in production because they like the height.

I have used a PRS stock on my XCR. The weight helps balance the rifle for offhand shooting, but I find the PRS is just a little too long. I have a new UBR stuck and just waiting to get my XCR back from repair to try it out. I am fairly sure though that it will do the job.
