Hey guys,
I am relatively new to guns. I have shot different guns, but now I am looking for one for myself.
After I find out when and where to take Hunter Safety and PAL, I am going to start looking for a entry level (or close to one) .270
Any suggestions form anybody?
Also, dont mind if it is used, as long as its worth the money.

270 will do all that you ask of it and more. Good caliber choice. Visit a reputable dealer and shoulder several different makes and models, and find the one that fits you best and enjoy.

I see alot of good things about Savage. I am looking into those more closely, especially the Edge.
What kind of scope would you guys suggest also?

The best you can afford, you can always upgrade. The Savage packages come with a scope, not the best but as I stated, you can always upgrade.

Go to your local Canadian Tire and they'll have package deals to give you an idea, most of the supporting vendors of CGN can and will beat the price of CTC.

The .270 is a good all around cartridge unless your hunting dangerous game. It's readily available, reasonably flat shooting and the recoil is mild.

Find a rifle that fits you well and start whackin' deer!

Remington 700 Mountain DM .270

I love this gun:

Trust Trade Ex Canada to give good service, a fair description of their used guns, and great prices. Most of their hunting guns seem to come from Europe where the .270 is less common than here, but you may find one. Ellwood Epps stocks lots of used guns and also has a good reputation amongst the Gunnutz.
