Russle sporting goods used to stock them, but they ain't around any more. I have seen them at my local g-store from time to time.

Basically its the same mag Remington is putting on their factory DMs right now.

Your best bet would be to try your local g-smith, Epps, Wanstalls, P&D, Target sports, etc. Call or email but I find the guys who have been in the business for a bit of time usually know where to find this kind of stuff.

Cheers!

Don't do it. The factory DM conversion really causes problems once it wears in a bit. Once the magazine retaining tabs wear down a bit the magazine will sag causing all kinds of feeding issues. Look at how small the tabs are and how they are located slightly towards the front of the mag and you will see what I mean. I had a few DM's and they all had this problem. If you want a detachable mag, I say spend the money and go with aftermarket or keep it how it is if it's working.

The rifle I put that DM on is circa 1971, I put the DM on it in 02. I have shot it every year since I put the DM on it, I have taken 11 deer and uncounted coyotes with it. On average I will shoot 200 to 300 rnds per year with that rifle.......

I have yet to have an issue with the mags whatsoever......

YMMV

Was leaning more towards the larger capacity mags anyway, preferably the cheapness of the kwik klip but looking more like it's gonna be a badger, CDI or something of the sort?

Thanks for all the input guys, it's good to hear differant sides of the story!

My experiences with the factory DM were nothing but trouble. I had the entire metal replaced after the first one stopped feeding entirely. The replacement worked flawlessly for about 200 rounds and then it started acting up in the same manner. The main issue was that the bolt would not catch the cartridge and strip it off the mag. I had gravel switch it to a hinged floorplate and it has been great ever since. Several of the gunsmiths I took it to said that they had seen similar issues on DM actions. I'm glad yours works though.
