New Iron-Once Old- 5 shot group 1319 yards!!!

Where did you pick up the IOR? I've been reading up on them but can't seem to find a Canadian dealer and the Valdada sight indicates that they don't ship outside the US.

Odd number. Off the road, then diagonally accross a quarter section?

guess I could have gone one yard back to make it totaly 3/4 of a mile. It is just where the bench was when I started ranging and the target is at the edge of the coulee. Dont worry there is a bank of a finger behind the target so anything over is in the dirt. It is funny how it was one under 3/4 of a mile. I was looking to see how far we could get at the time and that is what the max range was at that location. We were not looking for that range just seeing how far we could get.

Ted Gaillard's button rifled barrels are some of the best I have ever used. he makes a button barrel barrel as good as anyone and his work is top drawer for sure! You have a puka piece of kit there.

Gotta second the pitch for Matrix Bullets (google them). You can order on-line and he is Canadian... his bullets come from Vancouver Island. I have shot with Marshall, and he is not only a damned good F-Class shooter, he is a brilliant bullet maker.

Will definatly try them out. THXS

Consider Retumbo. A nice full case pushed my 180's at 3050fps from a 26" Shilen.

I bet they will tickle 3100fps out of your longer pipe.

Nice rig, great shooting.

Enjoy...

PS wanna try some Hybrids?

What you mean hybrids?:D

Refer to Berger website for more technical info.

Short version - combine the best from the Secant and Tangent ogive shape to make a bullet that has a very high BC but is easier to tune then some Tangent ogive VLD's.

when pointed, the BC is pretty spectacular.

the Target, Hunting VLD's and Hybrids have had quite a spectacular year in competition around the world.

when comparing BC's, also note the bullet weight. Heavy bullets with higher BCs are typical but usually don't go as fast so the LR benefit is reduced.

What we want is LIGHT bullets with very high BC's. So far, that is kind of holy grail stuff.

Let me know as bullets are selling fast...

Thanks for letting me poke the mistress, first 1000 yard strike felt pretty good. Only two rounds to get there felt even better! With a level gun the first round probably would have hit to! Worth every last f------ penny!
