Milsurp Bolt Action

Hey guys. I was just wondering if there is a milsurp bolt action rifle around that has fairly cheap ammo.
I know an SKS is cheap and has cheap ammo, and I plan to buy one.
But I plan to buy a bolt action after, and I wanted to know what to look out for.

.303 is about the cheapest commercial milsurp cartridge. As a bonus, it is also readily available pretty much anywhere in Canada.

I don't think 303 is the cheapest at all. Its usually over 20$ a box anywhere. 7.62x54 is about 10-15$ a box for surplus. And then there are rifles chambered in 308 which is also cheaper than 303. Check out SFRC for cheap ammo

The "CHEAP" 7.62x54, is already here. Check out the banner advertisers. It is the MFS stuff. Not milsurp, not reloadable but non corrosive and cheaper than most commercial offerings. They also have 7.62x25 and others.

Personally, I would rather reload.

.303 ammo you can buy in canadian tire, but its not cheap, And a non Sporterized Enfield isnt cheap either

A Mosin starts around 150$ in military configuration. But the best bet for ammo is online or local gun shops.

And Usually lots of Mosin's for sale on the EE and other stores in your province.
