Stainless Steel Tumbling media

I was given a stainless steel tumbling system as a birthday gift and I took it for a test drive today. The batch of mixed 260 and 6BR with the primers still in was first and the results were very impressive, however I wanted to see if the primer pockets wouold come as clean as with ultrasonic cleaning, so i de-capped and re-sized a bunch of 6BR brass.

This is what came out...

The media is good and stuck in the res-sized necks and it requires some effort to get out. Most concerning however, is the fact that the necks become scored on the inside from removal of the jammed pins.

These pins need to be shorter I believe, but it is a very effective cleaning system.

Hope they are the right size? The ones I ordered from someone in the states are amazing , I use a thumlers tumbler, ss media, hot water and dawn dish soap, and some lemishine. And my brass comes out new in for hours, inside out the same!!

I just ordered some stainless steel pin media and want to use it for 6BR.

I had an email back fronm the company owner and he is shipping me out longer pins for free. I think that is pretty decent of them. I would suggest you mention that you will be using a 6BR and he will provide the longer pins.

I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the results of the cleaning on the cases, particulalry the primer pockets.

I am cosidering going to the SS media, getting tired of cleaning primer pockets as well. Looks like you need to specify the pin length based on the caliber.
Also which tumbler are you using?

There is no option for specifying different media size, however i guess this is an issue they're addressing. Anywa, I am most happy with the way they've handled this.

I have switched and I love it, and the primer pockets are spotless, you will not regret it!
