Bushmaster ACR Canadian Pricing ***UPDATE Pg. 15***

Unfortunately, the FRT for the restricted ACR has been pulled and the RCMP is currently performing a laboratory inspection. I hope that it is not classified as an AR variant because that would not be good. But given the track record, it would not surprise me.

Dude where are you getting your info? The FRT has not been pulled it's been classified resticted based on barrel length. I talked to two dealers now and it's been confirmed.

Update

I dont know if this has been covered, but on the bushmaster site it lists the enhanced ACR at just over $3K (US i would assume lol).

If pricing on canadian versions are correct, i will be all over this one !!

The MSRP in the US is 3000 for the enhanced, but sales are plummeting nobody is buying them. Enhanced version list right now for 2450.

NOW THAT BEING SAID....

I called CRAFM today to see if they are doing there pre-orders yet, they are. BUT now the price all of a sudden has jumped to $3248  I told the guy that one of his co-workers already quoted me in the 2200-2500 range and he said, "I don't know where you got that from" I said, "from your co-worker" he said, "no". I said, "no thanks"

I'm not sure why all of a sudden the price jumped but I know what I herd and it was not 3250. BTW that was for the standard version. He said they couldn't get the permit for the enhanced version, which is funny because Questar told me there permits have been approved for the enhanced version.

Somethings fishy here....

Needless to say I'm disappointed. If the Americans think that the 3000 MSRP price is a joke, then how can I justify spending close to 4000 here. I'm so god damn sick and tired of these ridiculous prices. The rifle is worth 1500-2000 says every American review yet we have to pay double. I wish Remington would pull there head out of there ass.

:puke:

Actually, he may be correct. I just did a search and the old FRT number for the commercial ACR is no longer in the database (127748). The only entry is for the full auto/prohibited ACR.

So $3,248 (plus taxes, I'm assuming) for the standard version. Plus it would appear (now) a wait on the FRT.

wow, not like i could really afford one atm but still thats total BS

Oh I know, the Americans came freaking unglued when the price was revealed to them a year ago. Most thought it was waaay over priced and sales over the past year have reflected that. It's almost like there trying to take advantage of us, and make up for lost sales, Im choked!

Well if thats the case then these Restricted ACR's will just sit on the shelves here too, especially for that kinda money. That's a laugh.

If the SCAR came restricted only, thats a gun I would still consider with the track record it has as a proven battle rifle.

But now with the possibility of this over priced ACR as restricted only??? GAME OVER!

Remington, Bushmaster and the RCMP can all go suck it!

Fitty, my sentiments exactly.

$3.5k plus for a restricted only is not good but there's always the possibility of it being properly classified.

Trying to stay positive and hope for a proper assessment.

The only way I'll even concider spending that much is if it's classed like the XCR. That being said, it's still waaay to much for that rifle. The Americans are prolly laughing there asses off at this thread...

3.5K come on! it's a gun! not a fridge! That's ridiculous! and they are trying to justify that price. I have a dream, that one day a Canadian company is gonna produce and build nice futuristic black rifles for a reasonable price. I'm sure some Canadian companies can do it, they just need to balls-up.
