Bushmaster ACR Canadian Pricing ***UPDATE Pg. 15***

Soooo should I buy an XCR, or wait for these lol?

Tough call, but there is a hell of alot more features packed into the ACR, then the XCR.

-2 differant stock options (no adapters)
-2 differant forend options
-Quick change barrel system
-Non-recip. charging handle
-Ambi charging handle
-Folding stock locks for shooting
-Cheek riser
-Multiple sling mounts
-Includes MBUS
-Magpul koolaid from factory :D ;)
-IMO cosmetic appeal is 10 fold, jus sayin :p

There is also new lowers and forends in the works. Possibilities are endless really.

There's the list of pre-orders for the SCAR - then they have first crack at the NR barrels from what I understand, as well (if/when that materializes).

The people on the SCAR pre-orders have nothing to do with the ACR pre-orders, two differant rifles, two differant lists. If Im wrong, then thats kinda lame.

As far as the barrels go, same thing. ACR has a propriatary barrel and from what I was told today they will include the barrel wrench. So they wont interchange. Again I was lead to believe that everyone who gets an ACR will get the option of getting an 18.6 barrel.

Not based on what I was told. Take a look at the prices in the states, they've declined significantly, a standard version is worth about 1950 now.
We will see the pricing of the ACR around the 2200ish mark, no more then 2500.

That would be a pretty good price just for the standard version. If it's in fact the enhanced version (with or without the NR barrel) - that's a heck of a deal. If you get the ACR are you still going to want a SCAR?

hmm this sounds pretty good... Is there an aprox/rough street date for these? Where can I put a pre-order in?

Hang tight boys, the ACR may be considered an AR variant so barrel length would not matter.

The 'barrel wrench' is built into the quick change collar.

Earlier in the thread it was mentioned that the ACR already has an FRT #....so....uh....what are you talking about?

He'll be waiting a long time, no more SCARs in near future other than the 25 or so coming into Questar that have been 100% spoken/paid for (that STILL haven't been cleared).

No pre order lists right now for the ACR.

No, all that were waiting on right now is for bushmaster to get their recalls sorted out so they can release more shipments. ACR shipments have been held nation wide. This is all were waiting on. Once bushmaster starts shipping again I would assume the pre-orders will start.

No you're wrong. The ACR has been given an FRT it's been classed the same as the XCR. Restricted if it has the short barrel, and non-restricted if it has an 18.6" barrel or longer. It's plain to see the ACR in no way represents an AR variant. You should do some research before spouting off.

I'd defiantly want a SCAR but as others have mentioned I missed the boat on that one. Maby one day another export permit will get granted. Until then maby you can let me fondle yours and I'll let you fondle my ACR... lol :p

i hadnt even really looked into this rifle until this thread, just checked it out on the bushmaster site seems pretty sick, wonder whats taking so long to get them up here, other then the recall :p

I dont know if this has been covered, but on the bushmaster site it lists the enhanced ACR at just over $3K (US i would assume lol).

If pricing on canadian versions are correct, i will be all over this one !!

I talked to the Remington importer at CFSAC - they stated that the price will be reasonable.

In reality, the street price of ACR in the US is much lower than the MSRP. No one in the right mind in the US will pay the MSRP.

Unfortunately, the FRT for the restricted ACR has been pulled and the RCMP is currently performing a laboratory inspection. I hope that it is not classified as an AR variant because that would not be good. But given the track record, it would not surprise me.

If ACR is a AR15 variant, all the biology text books need to teach that we are all evolved from dogs, since dogs and human all have four limbs, 2 ears and a nose.

Yes, I agree 100%. You cannot mate the ACR upper with an AR lower and vice versa without doing some serious machining. The only common parts that I know of are the trigger group. It's crazy but totally possible.
