....

Check page 57 of the hunting regs for what wmu's are open for general mule deer in the 500 zones. The zone wich are on draw will have a black square beside them. You must have with you your wildlife certificate, your licence and your tag(orange sticky thing). Every licence will be issued with a seperate tag. Can ammount to quite a bit of paper to cart around. I put mine in a ziplock bag and carry the lot in my pack.hope this helps.

I only carry the orange tag.

Whenever I have been stopped that is all the fishcops are interested in. I keep the paper copies at home in a safe place.

OP,
Most 500 series Mulies are antlered only. Be careful. The only 500 series WMU that has general supplemental Muley is specifically WMU 500 this year.See page 26 (top of the page footnotes continues from page 25),footnote 7, or pg 58 footnote 9.

I've been asked for the paper portion of the tag before, but never the Wildlife Certificate. I think you only need the WIN card to buy your hunting / fishing licenses.

I was asked for all papers last year. CO was a good guy, he just called it in and checked it out. Told me to get the wildlife cert as I had lost mine. Thankfully he was more interested in my T/C Encore. :D This was south of Fort Mac

And that would be the wrong answer ;)

You are required to carry the Wildlife certificate(paper), license(paper) and the orange tag:

A person must possess a valid Wildlife Certificate and the applicable hunting licence in order to hunt big game or game birds. The hunter must carry the licence and applicable tag(s) on his or her person while hunting. A person applying for a draw is not required to possess a Wildlife Certificate but must purchase one before purchasing any hunting licence.

I would always keep all paper with we if I were you. I was Ice Fishing in Febuary and got checked. I produced my license which was purchased in May or June in 2009 and had been folded in my wallet for that amount of time. When I tried to unfold it, it pretty much dissintigrated and you couldn't read it. The fish cop gave me a ticket for not producing a license. When I offered my phone for him to call and verify that I did have a license, he said "sorry, firm is fair...." I consider myself to be a conservationist and was very polite the whole time, this guy was just a piece of trash. Anyway, my point is don't give these guys any reason to ticket you, because they will!
