What makes it unreliable? The aftermarket mags?

I've never seen one that doesn't run unless it's been horrendously neglected.

welli got it "new" it was already converted to aftermarket mags but it shoots 6 inch groups at 50 yards and jams every couple of rounds with any of the mags i've tried. a buddy has one too so i tried my mags in his rifle and they worked flawlessly. not sure what's up with it but don't feel like dicking around with it so it sits int eh safe until i can find someone to unload it on who feels like finding teh gremlins. I'll get a nice russian one one of these days i think. but I've got an MR1 on order from wholesale sports so THAT will be my 3gun machine AND coyote murderer. But I won't have it for another month or more. soo here i am. beggers can't be choosers lol

I just don't like borrowing if i don't have to.

It's no big deal, I have 3 AR's that are just sitting in the cabinet doing nothing. But if you have 7.62 x 39 and Stevo is offering up a VZ, like Nike said for years, "Just Do It!" ..lol.

The match is looking to be a good one. Sosa and I came up with some stage designs tonight..... bring on the ammo..

lol sounds like alot of fun. i'll stop talkin so much now. i really hope i can make it. It'll be a looong drive from lethbridge so you guys had better make it worth it! lol

Exactly. Guns are meant to be shot and I can't use both my VZs at the same time. Unless you guys have a dual-wielding stage.:ar15:;)

well It's gonna be an expensive enough trip for me so not having to shell out (pun intended) for a 100 or so rounds of .223 when i have over a thousand rounds of 7.62x39 it makes sence to me. i've still got 100 or so rounds of 12 guage and 200ish rounds of .40 so i should be all set in the ammo department. But hunting comes 1st so i NEED to get a deer this weekend so i can come up and shoot with you guys.

lol well i can't promise Jerky but i can definatley bring ya some meat if you'd like. a nice roast? or stew meat? I'm a chef so I do all the butchering myself i usually just cut some roasts and some steaks then cut the rest into stew meat.

Well there is no Dual-wielding stages as of yet.........LOL. But should be some good ones, breaching door is making it's last appearance for the year, oh ya!!!!!! There is going to be at least one pistol to rifle transition stage and maybe a shotgun/ pistol transition. Thats all that I'm letting out of the bag.

Sounds great. Will #7 shot do the job or do I need something bigger like #4?

I like breaching stages. We built our own breaching door this summer.

Do we know anything else about the match. Number of COF, how many squads, lunch break or food available, side matches, prizes?

Greg

This match will have 2 pistol, rifle, shotgun stages, plus 2 transtion stages. As for squads it will depend on how many people show up, lunch is usually eat when you can, there is no food available at the range. As for side matches not this time and the same for prize's at this time.

What about rigs? You allowed to change out as stages change or do you have to fun the same?

What do you guys recommend for rigs? Have an IPSC rig setup for pistol only. Can I run multiple holsters for different stages? How many mags do I need?

D,

You can use your IPSC rig, lots of guys do and just change it up for the different stages.

I use a chest rig and belt kit. You will need a min of 4 pistol mags, 4 rifle.
As for changing holsters, there is no real reason to do that. I recommend that you use a closed holster, as there will be some running with your pistol holstered.
