Could someone suggesgt a scope for my rifle?

Vortex's warranty policy beats Leupold's. No fault, no questions asked, repair or replacement.

The glass in the Viper is just a hair below that of the Zeiss Conquest. I have both.
 
Hello ericling, a multi purpose scope for hunting, I suggest 2.5x10x40 Bushnell elite 4200. So you have low range for closer shot, more range of view and high range $530.50 + shipping. Good qualité scope, very clear for the price.
 
I'm a true fan of Leupold; the warranty is about the best in the business, and if you ever need to use it, the turnaround time is apparently no more than 3 weeks. I have a 2-7X compact on my 30-06, and it's my favorite scope. I personally would stay away from any of the european scopes due to the possibility of a long wait if the warranty is ever needed.

The European scopes do have canadian distributors and service centers.

The COnquest ine is actually assembled in the U.S.

Bushnell does have a canadian depot as well. At least according to my manual and warranty you ship defective scope to a Canadian address.
 
Bushnell - meh - $50-$500
Nikon - good - $150-$700
Burris - better - $200-$900
Leupold - Better still - $350-$how much you got?
Swarovski - maybe even better - $If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

If we want to talk about the best sporting scope you can buy, as well as what the military uses, then we can look no farther than S&B.

I don't think the OP is looking for an S&B, or even a Kahles. Maybe I'm wrong.
 
You don't mention where you hunt. In the east, shots are close range compared to the West.

In the east I use a 1.5 -5 or a 2-7 and I find it spends most of the hunt at the lower end of zoom. I use a lot of 2.5 fixed scopes, too, for the same reason. These are just about fool proof.

I think a bit of clarification is in order. I don't doubt that other companies have service centers in Canada, and I don't doubt that other companies have good warranties, but Leupold has had the same warranty, and the same outstanding service since there inception.........it has not changed. Most other companies are yet to proove themselves. I bought a Burris fulfield about 23 years ago, that I thought I would have for the rest of my life; very well built, with what they called a lifetime warranty. I sent the same scope into burris about 2 years ago to have some service done to it (clarity was decreased, and the power ring was getting loose). Burris sent me a package back stating that due to the age of the scope, they didn't have the parts redally available to repair it, and that they where "offering" me the opportunity to "buy a new Burris scope at a significantly reduced price". I raisde enough of a stink that they did eventually repair the origonal scope on full warranty, but for a company to even suggest this is not them carrying through with their origonal intended warranty.
If you send a Leupold scope in thats 3 or 30 years old, you get the same service that they have always offered. Other companies are yet to proove this. Bushnell does have a service center in canada, but all that they do is replace the scope with one that is comparable to the model that you sent in if the line has been discontinued.
And no, no matter what some say, you don't have to use Leupolds warranty often; especially any more than any eropean manufacturer.

and Redfield has the same warranty as Leupold, one guy works part time to repair any warranty issues for all of Canada. Let us know what you get. Good luck.
